    The Spider And the Fly

Post by Don Quixote on Sun May 28, 2017 7:00 pm

There once was a spider up in a tree
A whole view of the forest he could see
Up there as he crawled along
The days and the nights seeming long

The spider loved to spin little webs
    Carefully planning with meticulous steps
But then a small fly came
Rushing him because of the rain

    That was bound to come
So the spider gave him some
    And wrapped him right around
    Tightly with eyes so round

    And full of ravenous hunger
    But also his wrathful anger
For the fly was ruining his work
By trying to stress him out like a mean, stupid jerk

And so did the spider bite
And the fly never seen since that night
For when a spider spins its great tapestries
It does so slowly, wanting a great big masterpiece.
