    The Last Thread [Private, Daemian]

    "Why?"

The question was asked, the woman falling to her knees. Blood was scattered across her hands, dripping from her arms. Her stark white hair fell either side of her face, expression twisted into that of horror, terror. Which quickly became replaced by anger, her teeth gritting against one another as her hands coiled into fists. Just as easily as it was made, it was destroyed. The realms of her homeland, massacred by the one which she use to call her lover. Someone that she adored, someone that helped her through thick and thin.

But it was that same someone who ruined everything.

Her head threw itself back, the tears streaming down her pale cheeks as she screamed into the silent night. Not a single soul would hear her, only one would. Sobs racked through her, pain and anguish alike tearing through her core. Why was this her fate? To be thrown somewhere else, by the hand of the entity which formerly lived inside her, to save her. To free her from the anguish. Although that anguish was still there, burning like a fierce fire, eating away at the emotions she was so known for. That he had loved her for.

Although it turned into the very thing which he hated. Which he despised about her. Despite the connection the two had, he threw it all away, before tearing down what they had. Him and that awful Golem and Seraphim, ones who seemed to kill one of her brothers... She sniffled, raising a hand to clear away the tears that had dried. Swallowing hard, she tried to ignore what had happened, her eyes glancing around the vibrantly coloured area. The forest of pinks and browns, green grasses coating the ground and small winding paths. Something so familiar, yet at the same time, so horrible, so cruel. Of course, new worlds, new realms, they weren't foreign to her...

What killed her was the utter silence from within. He was truly gone, and so was the being within.

With a shout, Daemian's form crashed down against the ground, malfunctioning black and crimson wings now covered in a layer of black, vile blood. His breaths came to him in ragged gasps. Roshan.. His head tilted up, eyes frantically scanning the portal which he came through, diving through before they could kill him, finish the three off. Quickly the man stood, wings aching as he tried to readjust them into a more comfortable position. He tugged the cloak around him a little more to cover his form, pulled his scarf over his mouth to hide the scars. "Come on Roshan..." He whispered through his carved teeth, voice sounding like it had passed through a blender and had been spat back out. Where was he? He should be right behind him...

    The portal flickered.

    And became dark in moments.

Daemian's blood froze in his veins, eyes widening. No... His wings spread out behind him once more, giving a mighty flap as he launched himself into the air - only to come crashing down against the ground. A cry of pain came from him as he landed, ankle twisting from the contact. His face seemed to become pale, horrified. Why can't I...? Slowly he pushed himself from the flattened grass once more, raising his left arm to look under it and towards the black wing. They... Were almost fine, but why didn't they work? His head turned back to the sky. Why didn't he come through..?

He stood there, minutes seeming to drag into hours, mind playing out horrible and detailed visions of his siblings, brother and sister, mattered with blood, bodies black and broken on the ground before their 'lovers'. Daemian's teeth clenched, sharp edges digging into his gum. He'd never, ever, trust a bloody Seraph again. And he'd think twice before letting anyone become close to either of his siblings.

    If they were still alive.

He dashed the thought from his mind, surely one of them had made it out alive? That thought was only confirmed by the fact that he heard her voice. Vyllaea! He broke into a run instantly, ducking and weaving between the trees as his feet glided quickly across the ground. His wings beat behind him, making him jump every several steps to make more of a leap, covering ground faster. But when he saw her kneeling form, his heart caught in his throat, the woman's arms, back and her sides, they were coated in blood. She had her head tilted to the sky, her cheeks scarlet and her eyes red. She'd been crying.

Daemian closed the last dozen meters, landing heavily against his knees as his arms and wings wrapped around her. Forbid the thoughts he knew were going through her mind. Forbid that she would do anything she was thinking of right now. His arms tightened, the wings curling just that little bit more around her shaking form. "Vy, my dear Vy, shhh, I'm here.." He said gently, admittedly not his most effective words, but they were still what she needed to hear.

Or so the winged celestial hoped.

Vyllaea didn't even hear him approach before his wings were around her form. She didn't even realise that she had been shaking so violently until the lithe arms wrapped tightly to her, holding her firmly against him. The pair were both lathered in blood, and there were faint drops of silver in her red. The traces of the Golem and her lover. She felt the angry tears flow down her cheeks once more. "They... they betrayed us... After all this time, after everything we have done together, what we have been through... They cut us off and stabbed us in the back." Vyllaea gritted her teeth together, before hitting her fist against the ground. She was never good at hiding her emotions, and she wasn't about to start being good now.

"I am going.. To murder them, if I ever see any of them again!" Vyllaea shouted, "All we did was love them, you were saved by yours, yet she threw you out into the wilderness. He... He was there for me so often, and... And then he teamed with them and destroyed our world?" Vyllaea asked, each consecutive word becoming softer, gentler, carrying a tone of sorrow and sadness, enough to be able to crush even the most hopeful soul and shatter their dreams. Vy clenched her teeth again, her arms suddenly wrapping around Daemian's chest as her face buried against his shoulder. She wept bitterly, sobs raking through her body.

Why they decided to do something so horrendous, they would never know. But... through her angry, confused and grief torn shudders and tears, Vyllaea steadied her voice enough to ask a simple question. "D.. Daemian, where's you- our.. brother, Roshan?"

Slowly, she pulled away from Daemian, not really knowing if the crimson and silver blood over her had stained his black jacket. But something didn't ring right, something wasn't proper with this entire situation.

"Daemian, where is Roshan?" She asked, green eyes madly scanning his gunmetal grey, trying to read him, figure out just where their brother was. And more importantly, if he was at least safe from those crazy maniacs.
